Villa Pantai Biru (literally translated to as "Villa on the Blue Beach ") was built in the early 1990's by a financier. Over US$1 million was spent on the property and the building complex. Its style is reminiscent of its neighbor, the renowned 5- star Oberoi Hotel. The Villa owner, an avid art collector, also lavished the Villa with museum collection art.

For years, the only guests to the Villa were friends and families of the owner. It was only in the past 4/5 years, that this magnificent 5 bedroom seaside mansion was made available to discerning guests for short- term stay. The Villa is now the favorite for expatriate families and high profile celebrities, often with children, returning each year to their "home away from home "and away from photo journalists.   Villa Pantai Biru (or "villa on blue sands at sunset") like its neighbour, the renown Oberoi Hotel, is one of the only beachfront villas built in Bali in the early 1990's.
